Yesterday, the moment I arrived, there was a paper that I needed to ammend... knowing me, the procrastinator, the thought of putting it off, definitely played in my mind. Surprisingly, only for a second.. or two. But I guess, only because the opportunity to spend more time at breakfast motivated me. The moment I finished, sent it off for approval... trying to speed off for breakfast, one of the bosses called me... and, I had to complete this directory which was so tedious. And 'thanks' to my good fortune, my friend cancelled our breakfast. Tak sempat nak berangan, my director's PA came to me and asked me to attend a meeting in PWTC... which was 2 hours away. Well, I could make it if I had a car... automatic... not that I couldn't drive a manual, but it's just that... I've haven't drive one for soooo long (as in 2 years!) and never had in KL town. So, the hour journey might turn to 2 hours, or never make it at all due to unforseen circumstances... so, I opted for the public transport - ERL and LRT.
But then, boleh tak, there's no one to even send me to the ERL station... demmit betul malik! Good thing nuar is always so helpful, willing to come all the way from Precinct 2 to send me to the station. And sempat singgah maybank kuar duit. Anyway, I arrived at the PWTC station 10 minutes to 10. How efficient! I was lucky too really, for not having to wait too long for any trains. The ERL was only 5 minutes. But the cost of the whole journey to the meeting was RM7 (balik nanti another RM7...). Anyway, remember I didn't have any breakfast, so I made a pittstop at The Mall's McD for breakfast. Good thing too, because as it turns out, no kuih for meeting like the usual Gomen meetings... (hahah).
Iy was good experience really. I got to see this picture of our PM, not the usual blue background, but a different one, which I think is so much nicer and handsome. Seems more recent than the usual ones. Met Puan Leela Mohd Ali... (somehow her name reminds me of Laila Ali) and many more people like KSU of KEKWA and banyak lagilah. The funny part was when people ask me, "You are here representing your Minister?" Hmmm... never ever thought that would ever happen in my lifetime... well, not so soon, not at this age. Maybe when I'm older, a TKSU or KSU... (note that dream ya.. hehe). Well, I suppose so. I mean, the letter was addressed to the Minister, and he couldn't make now, and I have to attend to take notes. Now, in truth I am representing my ministry, whose minister is YB Dato'. So, I guess yes lah! But that wasn't how I answered lah... I have to akways remind myself to be more firm, confident and sure. So used to communicating by typing that sometimes speaking aloud, I am unsure of myself.
Anyway, I sat quietly as a mouse. Hoping to be invisible. Almost was, only at the end of the meeting I announced my presence. Puan Leela thanked the ministry for coming and all. The meeting ended at 1, there was a Press Conference and then, I left without attending lunch. Takde kawan nak makan nak borak nanti. Lunch without company isnt that fun ok... so I came back to the office the same way I came. Called CT to pick me up at the ERL.. and then stopped by Taman Warisan for snack sbb lapar! 3.30 baru balik office. And there was the dept's weekly meeting going on. Nak masuk ke tak.. punch out time is one hour and half... I better do lah... kang buat saje je.. And as usual the meeting ended after 6.
And the journey home was another story. I got on a METRO bus, that pusing putrajaya 2 kali, pukul 7 lebih baru sampai komuter. And nasib baik ada komuter, no need to wait so long... and sampai seremban at half past 8. Makan-makan dulu with my husband and ended up at home at 10 pm. Which sux big time sbb I was so damned tired.
And today is another day.... ingat nak cuti tapi tak jadi..
Conclusion: Take the train, you can expect to arrive in time
